Crafted
with traditional methods and expertise,
our barrels are custom-made upon request
and suited to the specific features of each
of your wines. We will work with
you to understand your needs and meet your
requirements. All parameters,
whether related to the oak used or to the
manufacturing process, will appear on your
order allowing us to craft each barrel to
your specifications. This means that
each order is unique. We do not keep
barrels in stock.
Sessile or pedunculate
oak is painstakingly selected in our own
forests, in state-owned national forests,
and private forests in the following regions:
Centre, Dordogne, Burgundy, Gironde
. . . .
In our splitting workshop
the oak is split using traditional methods,
then dried in the open air for 18 to 36
months in our outdoor lumberyards. The
traceability of our wood is guaranteed.
Our
coopers are masters of the art of fire
and wood. They offer a range of toasting
of varying intensity, best suited to
your wines and different grape varietals.
All our braziers are fueled by scraps
of oak left over from barrel production.
Our
Master Cooper, Mr. Didier Fesil , has twice
received the "Meilleur Ouvrier de France"
award for artisan barrel making. His
careful attention to detail ensures that
you benefit from his double monitoring at
the end of the manufacturing cycle. His
seal certifies that your barrel complies
with your specifications.
